Application for Young Investigator Travel Grants for 2010

 

D-Cure is happy to announce that it will participate with finance of 50% of the costs as a scholarship ( 500 up to 1000 American dollars )

young investigators, graduate students, postgraduate fellows as well as PhD's and MD's

who received their degree in 2003 or later.

These grants are intended for investigators whose work has been accepted for presentation in an international diabetes-related meeting taking place during 2010. The applicant must be first author on an accepted abstract. If applicable, D-Cure support of the research should be indicated on the abstract.

 

There are no formal forms for application to D-Cure travel grants.

 

Applications should include the following materials:

 

1. Short CV with list of publications of the presenting author.

2. Cover letter indicating the name, dates and location of conference.

3. Abstract submitted to the conference.

4. Letter of acceptance for presentation (oral or poster)

5. Scientific program of the conference (as soon as it becomes available)

 

After the return of the applicant to Israel, he/she must submit, within 30 days:

 

1. The remaining part of the Boarding Card.

2. Scientific program of the conference (if not submitted before)

3. A short report on the benefit of the trip to the research performed by the participant.

 

§         Submission deadline: at least 60 days before the meeting

§         Notification of the award: within 15 days after submission.

§         Awards may be granted to individual students no more then once every 2 years.

§         Number of grant recipients per lab will be restricted to a maximum of 2 grants per year.

 

The relevant materials should be sent by e-mail to info@d-cure.org.  Documents in hard copy (such as the remaining part of the boarding card) should be mailed to: D-Cure, POB 12056, Jerusalem 91120.
